The new issue of BRICS Business Magazine is being presented at the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, taking place in Vladivostok on September 1–4. The EEF remains one of the main venues for discussing the development of Russia’s Far East and the country’s economic ties with the Asia-Pacific region. In 2025 the forum brought together almost 8,000 participants from 75 countries and territories, while the value of agreements signed exceeded ₽6trn. This year’s theme is “The Far East: Development for the Benefit of People.”
The latest issue of BRICS Business Magazine picks up many of the same themes through the lens of BRICS and the Global South. It focuses on labour markets in the age of AI, the energy consequences of the digital boom, nuclear co-operation between Russia and Brazil, new export niches, gastrodiplomacy, football as an instrument of international influence, as well as the new international initiative BRICS+ Impact & Connectivity, which will identify and promote projects that generate measurable impact while strengthening ties across BRICS+.
The EEF has been held since 2015 and has since become a permanent international meeting place for businesses, investors and government institutions. For BRICS Business Magazine, taking part in the forum is an opportunity to present to an international audience the issues now shaping the emerging economic agenda of BRICS and the Global South.
The magazine’s next major international platform will be the 2026 BRICS Summit in India, where the new issue will also be presented.
