The business programme of the Roscongress Urban Hub thematic platform will be dedicated to the theme “The Evolution of Cities”. At the centre of participants’ attention will be modern approaches to territorial development, the creation of a comfortable urban environment, the introduction of digital technologies, the development of human capital, and the formation of a new urban economy.
“Today, cities are becoming the key centres of economic growth, technological development, and the concentration of human capital. The Roscongress Urban Hub thematic platform creates a space for professional dialogue between government, business, and the expert community on the formation of a modern urban environment that meets the needs of people and the goals of sustainable territorial development. In the context of global transformation, questions of urban environment quality, infrastructure development, and the introduction of innovative solutions in urban planning are taking on particular importance,” said Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.
The programme will bring together representatives of government bodies, business, development institutions, and the architectural and professional community to discuss the key challenges and prospects facing the urban development industry. Participants will examine issues relating to the development of agglomerations and low-rise construction, the modernisation of engineering infrastructure, the creation of new urban centres, the preservation of territorial identity, and the improvement of urban environment quality.
Particular attention will be given to the digital transformation of the industry, the application of artificial intelligence in urban planning, the development of public spaces and parks, and new investment mechanisms in real estate development, including Islamic finance and public-private partnership models. The agenda will also encompass the development of tourism territories and the transformation of resort infrastructure into modern economic clusters.
One of the programme’s priority areas will be the staffing of the construction industry and the engagement of young people in shaping the cities of the future. On Youth Day, the platform will host the “Urban Planning Challenge”, a professional orientation design game aimed at young specialists in architecture, urban studies, and territorial planning.
The business programme of the Roscongress Urban Hub thematic platform will traditionally serve as one of SPIEF’s key venues for discussing strategic questions of urban economic development, infrastructure, and modern approaches to creating a comfortable environment for living, working, and tourism.
