Indonesia wants to attract investors from the Middle East
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has announced the creation of a special financial centre to strengthen the country‘s status as a safe haven for investment amid global instability. The centre is being considered for location on Bali, which would help attract capital that previously flowed to the Middle East and also benefit from an influx of wealthy expatriates fleeing conflict zones.
China has developed the first draft of regulations for “digital human” images
Chinese regulators have unveiled draft rules for “digital human” services, requiring mandatory labelling of such content and consent for the use of real people’s likenesses or voices. The draft also prohibits the creation of virtual romantic partners for minors and the dissemination of dangerous or fraudulent content.
Moscow and Cairo are discussing the creation of a grain and energy hub in Egypt
Russia and Egypt have begun working on the creation of a grain hub, which could be located at the ports of Port Said, Damietta, Sokhna or Alexandria. The project will be powered by the El Dabaa nuclear power plant, currently under construction by Rosatom, with its first unit scheduled to launch in 2028.
Russian robot “Teledroid” will be the first in the world to connect an astronaut on the ISS and a robot in open space into a single system
Russia has begun preparations for the world’s first space experiment in which an operator inside the ISS will control the Teledroid robot located in open space. The robot operates in “avatar” mode, precisely replicating the cosmonaut’s movements via a special suit with sensors, and requires no bulky spacesuit, allowing it to perform delicate manipulations outside the station.
