Special Issue and Series of Conferences

The Kazan Summit is the culmination of the Russia-chaired BRICS 2024 agenda. The main goals of the joint information and publishing project of BRICS Magazine and the School of World Politics at Lomonosov Moscow State University are a professional discussion on BRICS+ issues, its popularization and presentation to the widest possible interested audience.

At the first stage of the project, in May this year, a professional conference involving experts, academics, media and government representatives was successfully held at the School’s site in Moscow. Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and Russia's BRICS Sherpa, was the key speaker.

Work is now in progress on the project’s second stage: preparation of a special issue of BRICS Magazine for distribution as the official media partner of the BRICS Summit in Kazan.

The BRICS summit in Kazan will be followed by a conference of members of the scientific and expert community, government officials and the press. The conference will assess the year of Russia's BRICS Chairmanship and its key events, while also mapping out and fixing trends for the coming period.

The School of World Politics at Lomonosov Moscow State University is a full-scale structural subdivision of the University, engaging in educational, research and cultural and educational activities at all levels of higher, pre-university, postgraduate and supplementary education.
