Fourth International BRICS Conference on Development Cooperation is to be hosted by People’s Friendship University of Russia
The next conference dedicated to fostering greater cooperation between Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will be hosted by the People’s Friendship University of Russia on 27May.
During the event guest experts will discuss the idea of creating a common BRICS space in education, science and research. In addition great emphasis will be placed on defining the role of BRICS in global governance, developing a mutual cooperation mechanism and ensuring a sustainable future for the member countries. The conference will also address the prospects of trade and economic cooperation as well as the BRICS countries’ social and economic development.
Based on these deliberations the participating experts are to develop recommendations to spell out major vectors of strategic cooperation among the BRICS countries in economics and education, which will be further discussed at the BRICS summit in Fortaleza, Brazil in June 2014.
The event will be co-hosted by the People’s Friendship University of Russia jointly with Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Science, the National BRICS Research Committee, the Russian Academy of Science’s Institute of Latin America, Institute of Africa and Institute of World Economy and International Relations.
