Capital of Tatarstan to Host 6th International KazanSummit in June
The International Economic Summit of Russia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) – KazanSummit – will be held on June 5-7 this year. This will be the sixth time that Kazan welcomes representatives of federal and regional authorities, foreign ambassadors, investors, managers of international companies, scientists and experts.
The main purpose of the event organized by the non-profit Foundation for Islamic Business and Finance (IBFD Foundation) is to strengthen economic and trade relations between Russia and the countries of the OIC.
After six years, KazanSummit has become a recognizable name for Muslim businessmen and investors from around the world who see Russia as a potential region for business development. Of all the Russian regions, Tatarstan is the most suitable for cooperation with the Islamic world thanks to religious and cultural similarities.
During the summit, experts and guests will have the opportunity to take part in various events, including the strategic, investment, and urban forums, as well as the business forum on trade relations between Russia and the countries of the OIC.
In addition, it will be the first KazanSummit to also feature the Tatar- Emirati Business Forum, which is intended to be a platform for discussing the prospects and practical steps to strengthen the business, trade, social and cultural relations between Tatarstan and the United Arab Emirates.
